When I was a kid, I was afraid of rollercoasters, but every time my family or friends pushed me to do it, I was the happiest and would wanna do it again and again and wish I could never leave the amusement park. Have you ever tried something for the first time with a lot of preconceived ideas and the second you do it you catch yourself thinking “how have I almost not tried this?”, “I need to do this again” or/and even “how have I been living without this until now?”. You know what I mean? Well, eyelash extensions are something you can live without until you try it, and here are the reasons why you should totally go for it.

The Reason Why You Need To Ditch Your Mascara Right Now

This is legitimately 80% of the reason why I’d never go back to wearing mascara. Now, my days of smudges and raccoon eyes are over.
Whenever I’d use mascara, from the worse to the best quality, waterproof or not, I’d end up messing the foundation or eye makeup I worked on for the past half an hour with smudges, and after an hour of wearing mascara, here I am all “raccooned eyes”. How is that fair?
I was lucky enough - thank you daddy - to get long natural lashes, unfortunately, that also means that without even haven’t finished applying mascara on my lashes, I’d get smudges under my eyebrows from my upper lashes, and awful under eyes dots from every single bottom lashes touching my skin. And, do I even need to talk about how ridiculous I feel when I see myself in a mirror and realize my mascara has slid and smudged? And by the way, why hasn’t anyone told me I looked like a raccoon for the past two hours? Duh. Either this, either I feel so conscious about it and swipe my under eyes and eye lids every 10 minutes. Ok, this is not a life.

Honey, I know you blame your “weird eyelids” and your bad af mascara, I know. But your eyelids are perfect, and the mascara has nothing to do with it. Just so we’re clear, your waterproof mascara ain’t helping with smudges. If you cry (don’t), or have to face a rain storm or something, waterproof mascara might help a little. But if your mascara is running anyway like mine used to, it’s probably because your eye area is oily - it’s a good thing! Less wrinkles for us, oily babes - and waterproof isn’t gonna cut it. Waterproof is not oil proof, so the oil breaks down the mascara, as simple as that. And here you are stuck with raccoon eyes, and it’s a total b. to get off, since it’s in fact waterproof. Lash extensions is the right answer babygirl.

Reasons Why You Should Get Eyelash Extensions

Yes babygirl, it’s possible to slightly manipulate the appearance of your eyes through the arrangement, size and placement of your extensions. Ask your lash artist what’s best for your face, or if you have something specific in mind, such as wider eyes, or if you wanna increase the length of your eyes, dramatize your look, your lash tech should be able to help you with this wether you’re looking for a heavy volume or a natural result.

You don’t need to worry about makeup. Ever. At all. I personally love makeup and I keep on applying makeup from time to time because I like to play around with it, but the point is that you’ll always look and be ready and all glamorous no matter what. Snorkeling, showering, skydiving, gym? You’re good girl.
And if like me, still wanna play with your makeup, how much of a good feeling is it to think that you don’t need to worry about the lashes part? It’s always been my one concern while doing my makeup. Always messing with all I’ve done at the very last minute, and is today going to be a good lash day? Or are my lashes gonna want to be all spider style? Not to have to remove waterproof mascara every night is a real blessing for your skin, and future self. And not feeling conscious about your mascara running under your eyes. Heck, yas! I’m just so happy to not have to think about all of these things anymore.

As I mentioned previously, lash extensions are not as fake lash strips and you don’t need to worry about anything after your appointment. You can live normally and still can do everything the way you did before. You’ll forget you’re wearing them. Swim, shower, workout, sleep, just live! The only thing to care for is brushing your lashes morning and evening, which will take you less than 10 seconds, and gently wash your lashes. It’s definitely the most convenient choice for a beautiful look.

Curling your lashes, applying fake lash strips, and/or apply mascara is a long process that you won’t ever have to go through anymore. How cool is that?

Ok I apologize in advance if you wear fake lash strips, but they look ridiculous to me. One side is always unglued and it looks so stupid. I have never ever worn lash strips in my life. I tried to apply them once, back in 2014 for Halloween, but after 15 minutes of painful fight, I gave up with a lot of frustration. I’m happy this happened, to me, it looks like a joke. With eyelash extensions, no time is wasted on applying fake lashes that will come off at the end of the night (if you’re lucky), and you can perfect your own style shaped to your eyes, and look dramatically luscious yet natural-looking.

You don’t have to worry about your lashes for weeks, you won’t even notice them anymore, they’ll become part of you. What will become weird, is you without lashes. After your full set is done (patience is key here), then you’ll just need to go for a refill every 2 weeks (on average) and it won’t take as much time, I promise.

You’ll feel more confident. You’ll fall asleep and wakeup looking at your best. No matter the circumstances that you may be going through, you always have long full eyelashes that make your eyes pop and look brighter. You go girl!
