Best HOMEMADE Peach Lemonade

I’ve been craving peaches and nectarines from the very first week of my pregnancy, but it was impossible to find any as we’re currently living in the south of France, and as we got pregnant at the very beginning of Winter season. I’ve been trying to satisfy my cravings through peach flavored hot tea, but it wasn’t work a bit. Now that the days are getting warmer (thanks Spring!), peaches are making their seasonal comeback, and I fell in love with this delicious recipe from Will Cook For Smiles - I’ve only made a very few changes to adjust it to my preferences.
This simple homemade peach lemonade is made of only 4 ingredients and 0 artificial flavors.
It’s everything I’ve been craving for the past 5 months and more: fruity, peachy, super fresh and the perfect clash between sweet and tangy, in other words, absolutely delicious.
This is about to become your entire family and friends Summer drink.

HOMEMADE PEACH LEMONADE
by Will Cook For Smiles

6 servings

Prep. 15 min - Cook. 15 min - Chill. 2 hours | Total. 2h30

INGREDIENTS

Fruits
3 peaches, large
5 lemons, ripe

Other
1/2 to 1 cup granulated sugar (see note below)
1tsp vanilla extract
Water

*Note: I find that half a cup is sweet enough, but if you like your lemonade very sweet, you can use a full cup depending on your taste. Or compensate with some coconut sugar or maple syrup for a healthier choice.

INSTRUCTIONS
Juice the lemons and set the juice aside.
Peel the peaches, take the pits out and slice.
In a sauce pot, on low heat, add the peach slices, sugar, vanilla extract and 2 cups of water. Stir until well combined.
Bring the mixture to simmer over medium heat for a 3 minutes, or until peaches have softened.
Pour the peach mixture into a pitcher - if preferred, you can blend the mixture for more texture, then pout it into the pitcher.
Add the lemon juice into the pitcher as well, and 2 cups of cold water.
Stir everything together and chill in the fridge for 2 hours before savoring.
