The Business of Death: Exposing the Abortion Industry

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” — Jeremiah 1:5

The womb was meant to be the safest place on earth. God Himself knit life there, heartbeats sparked by His Word, each child a gift of eternity planted in time. Yet in our world, that sanctuary has been turned into a marketplace. Sterile rooms, cold instruments, silent and sorrowful waiting areas where blood is measured in billable codes. Life, once priceless, now reduced to revenue streams and quotas.

We are told this is “healthcare” or worst “freedom”, “empowerment”, a “choice.Yet what is really offered is death packaged as deliverance. Behind the polished words and the white coats is an industry — a network of clinics, governments, NGOs, and billion-dollar foundations — all moving money, all setting targets, all rewarding destruction.

This is not merely a moral debate. It is not only a private sorrow. It is a global machine; and like every machine, it has architects, investors, and beneficiaries. It thrives on the innocent blood God calls precious. And unless it is unmasked, it will keep grinding forward, cloaked in the language of compassion while feeding on the lives of the unborn.

Abortion is not just a tragedy. It is a business. And business is booming.

Follow the Money

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” — 1 Timothy 6:10

If abortion were only framed as a question of “choice,” it might have remained a cultural wound. But the moment money entered the room, it became an empire. Follow the money, and the mask slips. The rhetoric of rights melts away into line items, grants, reimbursements, and quotas. Life turned into ledger.

In the United States alone, Planned Parenthood — the largest abortion provider — reported $699.3 million in government funding in a single year (2022–23), a third of its entire income. By 2023–24, that number climbed to nearly $800 million, almost 40% of its revenue. These are not donations dropped into a basket; these are taxpayer dollars, funneled into an industry that thrives by ending lives.

Every abortion is a procedure, and every procedure is reimbursed. Like any hospital billing system, abortion is coded, priced, paid out. Between 2019 and 2021, Planned Parenthood performed 1.11 million abortions while receiving $1.78 billion in federal funds. That’s an average of $592 million per year. Numbers so vast they blur into abstraction — but every digit is a child who never took a breath.

And it is not only America. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the World Bank, and global NGOs like Marie Stopes International and International Planned Parenthood Federation channel billions into “family planning programs.” The language is careful: they speak of “expanding access,” “reproductive rights,” “meeting unmet need.” Yet embedded in those sterile phrases are targets, metrics, and funding clauses that reward scale. More “services delivered” means more money unlocked. More access achieved, more praise received.

This is how abortion ceases to be framed as a sorrowful “last resort” and becomes a business model. Governments subsidize it. NGOs manage it. Foundations fuel it. Clinics deliver it. And all the while, money flows steadily upstream, from the blood of the smallest to the pockets of the powerful.

This is the hidden economy few want to name: the business of death, baptized in bureaucracy, but still dripping with innocent blood.

The Awards and Rewards

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” — Isaiah 5:20

If money oils the gears of this machine, praise keeps it running. Death is not only funded; it is honored. The world gives medals to those who expand it, applause to those who normalize it, and prestige to those who cloak it in the robes of progress.

Every year, the United Nations Population Award is bestowed with ceremony: a diploma, a medal, and a cash prize. Past winners include organizations whose sole mission is to widen access to abortion across nations. In 2018, the Guttmacher Institute received it — not for saving lives, but for decades spent producing research that champions abortion policy around the world. The applause was not for compassion, but for influence: the ability to sway governments, shape laws, and keep the blood flowing under the banner of “rights.”

Abortion clinics and providers are also feted by professional networks. The Abortion Care Network grants titles like “Person of the Year” to those who persist in offering abortions despite opposition. International NGOs hold conferences where awards are given to those who “expand access” or “innovate in reproductive health.” Behind the polite phrasing lies the truth: the more death they deliver, the higher they climb in esteem.

Even marketing awards are handed out. Clinics boast about winning local “Best Women’s Health Provider” badges, adding a sheen of legitimacy to their work. It is the inversion of honorlauding what Heaven calls abomination.

This is how the system rewards its own. Not only with checks, but with certificates. Not only with funding, but with medals. It is an ecosystem where killing is rebranded as courage, and where the destroyers of life stand on stages to be photographed, clapped, and enshrined.

Yet God’s Word cuts through the applause: “The Lord will abhor the bloodthirsty and deceitful man” (Psalm 5:6). What men celebrate, Heaven condemns.

The Language of Deception

“By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” — Matthew 12:37

Language is the enemy’s oldest weapon. From the garden, where he asked, “Did God really say…?” to today’s sterile policies and polished press releases, deception wears the mask of words. The abortion empire does not speak in blood; it speaks in euphemisms.

What God calls life, they call “tissue.” What He calls children, they call “products of conception.” Abortion is never named as killing; it is “termination,” “procedure,” “care.” The womb is not described as sanctuary but as a site of “reproductive potential.” A child’s heartbeat becomes a “cluster of cells.”

The bureaucratic language of global networks refines the disguise further. Reports from the United Nations Population Fund, the World Health Organization, and NGOs like Ipas never say “we will end pregnancies.” Instead, they promise to “expand access to essential reproductive health services.” Within those words are hidden billions — grants, training, supply chains, drugs shipped across borders. Death cloaked in neutrality.

Even performance metrics are baptized in this tongue. A clinic is not measured by “how many children it ended” but by “how many women served” or “how many services delivered.” The ledger shows growth, not graves. Success is counted in percentages of “access achieved.” And when targets are met, funding flows.

This is not new. Isaiah saw it long ago: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” The world has learned to rename sin as virtue, to paint destruction as deliverance. In their words, abortion becomes a right, a kindness, a service. In truth, it is the silencing of a God-given heartbeat.

But words cannot alter reality. Life remains life, even when denied. Blood still cries out, even when rebranded. And Heaven hears every syllable, even the lies wrapped in silk.

The Global Network

“They band together against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.” — Psalm 94:21

It is not one clinic on a street corner. It is not one nation’s policy. It is a network — vast, intricate, international. Its offices are in New York, Geneva, London, Nairobi. Its budgets are written in billions, its reports printed in every language. This is not chaos. It is coordination.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) operates in more than 150 countries. Its mandate? “Sexual and reproductive health and rights.” Its meaning? Abortion, contraception, sterilisation — the curbing of life under the banner of progress. In 2023, the United States sent nearly $200 million into its hands. Governments across Europe, Asia, and Latin America do the same.

The World Bank funds programs to “strengthen health systems,” embedding family planning targets into development packages. The World Health Organization issues global guidelines on “safe abortion” and trains providers to carry them out.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) boasts a presence in over 100 countries, each affiliate offering “services” with the quiet backing of governments and donors. Marie Stopes International does the same, spreading clinics from London to Africa to Asia. Ipas, a U.S.-based NGO, builds abortion “ecosystems” — training doctors, supplying equipment, lobbying parliaments.

Behind them, foundations funnel wealth. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation pledges billions to “family planning” (Gates, always in the evil mixes.) The Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Packard Foundation — all have long histories funding population control. Their grants are not small checks but multi-year, multi-million-dollar commitments with deliverables and performance metrics.

And then there are the coalitions. The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition coordinates global supply chains to deliver contraception and abortion drugs into the most remote regions. Logistics algorithms are designed to optimize access, routing women to clinics like freight through a warehouse.

This is the network: governments, UN agencies, NGOs, foundations, supply chains, algorithms. It is polished, professional, bureaucratic — but its product is the same: blood. It bands together against life, not by accident, but by strategy.

And yet Psalm 94 speaks louder: “The Lord has become my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge.” They plot, they plan, they reward one another with titles and prizes, but their foundation is sand.

The Inversion of God’s Design

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10

There is a grotesque irony at work. On one side of the system, billions are poured into ending life before it ever takes a breath. On the other, billions more are funneled into laboratories where scientists labor to build a counterfeit — synthetic embryos grown from stem cells, artificial wombs humming in sterile chambers, talk of merging man with machine to “upgrade” humanity.

They erase life in the womb, and then boast of “creating life” in a Petri dish, or in a robot for that matter. They destroy what God knits, then stitch together their own imitation. This is not science alone; it is sorcery — the age-old attempt to dethrone the Creator by imitating His creation. The spirit behind it is the same as Babel: “Let us make a name for ourselves… let us build.”

It is not enough for them to kill. They must also counterfeit. To end the children of God while inventing children of man. To reject the blessing of fruitfulness and then fabricate a barren future of designer offspring and robotic heirs.

This inversion is not progress, it is parody. And it will be the focus of what comes next: how synthetic “life” is exalted, while true life is discarded.

Call to Eyes Wide Open

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” — Proverbs 24:11

We are no longer ignorant of what hides behind the language of care.
The machine has been named. The ledgers have been read. The blood has been counted.

Governments fund it. Foundations praise it. Institutions polish its image. But Heaven sees.
Heaven has always seen.

Abortion is not a social service; it is the idol of an empire built on fear and profit. It is Molech reborn in stainless steel: children offered not to fire, but to progress. The same darkness that once demanded sacrifices now wears a white coat and a grant badge. And still, the cry of the innocent rises before the throne of God.

Yet the story does not end in despair.
Because the same God who formed every child in the secret place still breathes life into His people. He still raises defenders of the voiceless, mothers who choose courage, fathers who stand in truth, and believers who refuse to bow to this culture of death.

So open your eyes. Speak plainly. Refuse the lie that evil is compassion. Rescue those being led away, not only the unborn, but the blinded. Expose the works of darkness, not with rage, but with light. For light unmasks what shadow hides.

And remember: the Author of Life has already written the ending.
No decree, no policy, no empire of death will outlive Him.

The womb will be redeemed, and the Giver of Life will have the final word.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” — John 1:5
